LAMPERS has created the media façade for the Korea Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka Expo, authorized by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) and hosted by Korea as an invitation to other nations in this global economic and cultural Olympic.
Based on the core keyword connection of the main theme, "With Hearts," the project aims to embody the value of "Korea’s national heritage blooming from the past through the present and blooming towards the future." It begins with a welcoming greeting inspired by 'Dancheong,' a traditional Korean decorative coloring that represents Korean artistic beauty. The media façade reinterprets various intangible, cultural, and natural heritages in diverse forms. Following the timeless inheritance of Korea’s cultural assets, viewers are invited to witness Korea's future progressing forward.
The installation features a large LED display measuring 27 meters wide and 10 meters high, reflecting an architectural intent to break down spatial boundaries and create an illusionary effect that seamlessly connects the interior exhibition space with the surrounding nature. Additionally, media art content created in collaboration with artificial intelligence provides visitors with a multi-layered visual experience.
